Hello All!
This is my first blog post and I don't have much to say... Just stay tuned for more posts! I am going to be adding more posts in the next day or so. I have some pictures I want to share from the 9-11 Pentagon memorial ceremony & my most recent trip to the National Zoo.

About Me
About me? Well, there is a lot to know, some pertinent some not so much... such as... I love the mountains and the ocean, my 2 dogs + 1 cat (marshmallow, snickers, and sushi). I have a problem naming my animal companions after food. Speak of naming, Josh Hicks Photography, clever right? Well, as you can tell my name is Josh Hicks. Why couldn't I come up with a better company name than Josh Hicks Photography? Well I'm a photographer not a company-namer... I work with my partner in crime, my wife Scarlet. We've been married since August 12th 2006 and we support each other in whatever we want to do.
As a photographer I serve you. Where ever you go and want me there, I will follow. (Travel fees may apply) But for free I will photograph your special day in Maryland, D.C., Northern Virginia, Charlottesville, Richmond, Virginia Beach, Even parts of North Carolina, Why? because I love North Caroline, from OBX to Wilmington, Hey, if you ask me nicely I wouldn't even mind spending a weekend in Myrtle Beach, SC... In most cases I travel for free, but I am willing to go anywhere you want me to, did someone say Hawaii, Bahamas, Germany, India, Japan, Sure!
You may be asking yourself why would he be willing to travel to the ends of the earth for ME? Because I love doing what I do, and what I do is Photography. I am one of those photography hungry people who spend all there time on the Internet, No not Facebook... Reading, living, and seeing photography. That is when I'm not out shooting photos of course. I might not be able to explain why I do what I do in this about me section... But I do what I do to make people happy, to smile, to see something I created and go WOW. I create art for people to share for the rest of their lives. I consider my self to be a lot of things, a photographer and an artist with high standards of my work.
I love creating art, photography is the format, paper is the medium, and you are the subject.
If you are looking for an artist, or even a photographer, then I am the one for you. I'm a people pleaser, and I'm sure you will be pleased with me.
